About the Victory 2 and seas effect due to design of the hull: The Victory 2 has a twin hull design. Basically this means the vessel has two hulls connected by a "main deck" which is the main casino level on the level of the boarding door. With this design the seas are directly below the entire deck of the main casino. If you are one of our frequent riders I am sure you have noticed the loud "banging" effect and associated noise when the seas start to build above about 4-5 feet.
This is caused by the hydraulic effect of the waves being funneled in between the two hulls and under the main deck. Water cannot be compressed and this causes the waves to "bang" up under the main deck.
This is what causes the banging noise and subsequent shaking of the vessel. I can assure all our guests that there is absolutely nothing unsafe about this.
I realize this can be of concern to a guest not familiar with this type of vessel so I wanted to share my professional knowledge with you. If any of you have any other questions or concerns.....please pass your questions on our facebook page....I will do my best to answer all your questions.
Great weekend to come sail with us!
